Hunycomb Games was conceived in 2020 by entrepreneur Michael Barilla. Additional founders of Hunycomb Games included his father and brother Robert Barilla Sr. and Robert Barilla Jr. as well as some of his close friends.

Michael Barilla: As the founder of BlocUnited LLC, an early member of the Blockchain Coalition of Pennsylvania and his experience working in the finance industry for over 10, Michael bring the best of both worlds with his knowledge of finance and blockchain to Hunycomb Games. Robert Barilla Sr.: As the Founder of Cedar Hill Advisors, Robert Sr. has been involved in the completion over 150 financial institution M&A transactions involving more than $85 billion in assets. As a Certified Financial Analyst with his experience in a heavily regulated industry such as banking, Robert Sr. brings a unique combination of advisory, regulatory, and practical experience to Hunycomb Games. Robert Barilla Jr.: As founder of Big City Marketing Solutions and Hispana Marketing, Robert Jr. has been working in marketing industry for 10+ years. 🔅 Hunycomb Games DAO

The DAO itself will be a non-jurisdictional, unregistered entity. However, there will be an independent board of directors that will oversee the DAO, and make sure proposals that were accepted get executed.

This board will govern the ecosystem surrounding the DAO, meaning Hunycomb Games cannot alter or influence any of that.

Currently, the team is identifying candidates that will sit on this board.

The Hunycomb DAO, aka The Colony exists because decentralized governance is crucial to the success of the Hunycomb Games ecosystem. One of its goals is to establish and manage a globally distributed community.

The Colony members will be able to make decisions about Ecosystem Fund allocations, governance rules, initiatives, partnerships, and more through the Hunycomb Improvement Proposal Process (see Governance). All POLYN holders are welcome to join The Colony.

The Colony, the decentralized governance architecture that regulates the Hunycomb Games community, will be supported by the Ecosystem Fund. The Colony votes on how the Tessera Foundation will allocate the Ecosystem Fund to foster a diverse and self-sustaining ecosystem through a proposal process.

The proposal process is described in this governance guide. It’s a work in progress that will change and develop as The Colony community contributes.

Participating in idea submission, commentary, proposal submission, and voting is restricted to The Colony members. Holding POLYN is the only requirement for membership in The Colony.
